My musical journey has always been restless—marked by sharp turns and quiet obsessions. I went from Prince to Metallica, then Stevie Ray Vaughan to Pantera. That range defines me. I have no boundaries.
As a bassist with over 30 years behind me, my soul resonates with Cliff Burton’s chaotic grace and Tom Araya’s fury. Guitar came later—acoustic and electric—but not through theory or formal technique. I never studied. I listened, played, pushed, and broke rules until it sounded like me.
Music was always in me—before I knew what it was. I’ve been singing longer than I can remember. Cello came first in elementary school, then trumpet in junior high. Bass guitar found me in high school, and with it, my first thrash metal band—and the rest unfolded from there. Allowing me to Record and tour internationally.
Vocals weren’t a conscious choice. They were instinct, echoing through every phase of my life. But in April 2014, I was hit with vertigo. It changed everything. After learning to live with it, I went back to school to take control of the one constant that kept me grounded: sound. In 2022, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Audio Production from Full Sail University—not just to hone my craft, but to own every frequency of it.
My sonic roots dig deep into Pantera (R.I.P. Brothers), Meshuggah, Max Cavalera’s many incarnations, Faith No More, Coal Chamber, Deftones, and Slayer (Jeff forever). Lately, I’ve been drawn to the magnetic chaos of Fit For a King, Escuela Grind, Cage Fight, and Pupil Slicer. For me, it’s always sound over genre. For the record though, the song that I think really set me off was Heart – Barracuda. Every time that song came on I heard it. That sick heavy gallop.
Outside metal, Prince and Stevie Ray Vaughan laid my foundations. They taught me passion, discipline, and the value of staying true to yourself.
I live in Whittier, California, I don’t drive. I don’t drink. But I do smoke marijuana. It slows the spin and sharpens the creative edge.
I don’t want to be seen more than I want to be heard. My music speaks first. The face behind it… arrives only after the music has been digested.
